Vaccination is the best form of protection against an infectious disease. A vaccine activates a person’s immune system by creating antibodies that will help the body fight the virus and prevent disease if later exposed to the virus.

The City of El Paso is one of several healthcare providers able to dispense the vaccine. The City is now able to register and vaccinate on the same day at any City vaccination site, no appointment needed!

If you have an issue with registering or booking your vaccine please submit an issue or call 915-21-COVID (915-212-6843).

Step 1

All residents 12 and older are now eligible:

Currently the City of El Paso is providing vaccines to individuals 12 years of age and older.

At this time, youth 12 to 17 seeking to be vaccinated must visit the El Paso Convention Center from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday with their parent or guardian.

Step 2

Visit our walk-up site OR schedule an appointment:

The City of El Paso does not require you to schedule an appointment to get your vaccine when visiting the Downtown Vaccine Hub at the El Paso Convention Center, 1 Civic Center Plaza, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The City also offers vaccines at our COVID-19 Clinics. No appointments are needed to get a vaccine at the clinics. Addresses and hours of operation are listed below.

Vaccines are also available to the public without an appointment at one of the various pop-up sites through the City, which can be found on this calendar.

You can also still register and schedule your appointment online by clicking on the link below!

Vaccine Dos & Don’ts

Step 3

Be sure to get your second dose!

If you received the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine be sure to note that you will need two COVID-19 vaccine doses to fully prepare your body to fight any potential COVID-19 infection.

When a vaccine requires two shots, the first shot helps your body recognize the virus and gets your immune system ready, while the second shot strengthens that immune response.

The Moderna vaccine dosing schedule recommends the second shot be given 28 days after the first shot, while the Pfizer vaccine dosing schedule recommends the second shot be given 21 days after the first shot.

If you don’t get the second shot on time, it’s recommended you get it as soon as possible. Even if you get the second shot late, you won’t have to repeat the first one.

Step 4

After getting vaccinated:

Immunity is not achieved immediately after vaccination and the vaccine won’t be available to everyone at the same time, so please continue following all health and safety protocols to protect yourself and those around you.

>Wash your hands

Wash your hands often with warm and soapy water for at least 20 seconds.

Keep a safe space

Keep a safe space of 6 feet between you and others.

Wear a face mask

Wear a face mask when going out in public.

Stay home if sick

Stay home if you are feeling sick and get tested.
