Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, chills, cough, fatigue, body aches, muscle or joint pain, shortness of breath, sore throat, headaches, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, nasal congestion, and loss of taste and/or smell.

Whether symptomatic or asymptomatic (no symptoms), the community is encouraged to get tested if they have been or suspect to have been exposed to COVID-19.

If you have a disability and have no means of transportation to get to a drive-thru testing site, you may qualify for alternate transportation. Please call Sun Metro LIFT at 212-3304 to determine your eligibility.

City of El Paso Drive Thru Testing 

City testing collection sites have transitioned to provide COVID-19 vaccines. Please refer to GYN PATH Services testing collection sites to receive a COVID-19 test.


Test results for samples that were collected by the City of El Paso drive through locations, George Perry, High Ridge or Railroad sites, contact GYN PATH Services at http://www.gynpath.com and click PATIENTS or you may call GYN PATH directly at 915-755-8478.

DPH test results for Persons Under Investigation (PUI) can contact: DPHCOVID19Results@elpasotexas.gov.

State Saliva Testing 

The following testing sites offer free saliva testing for anyone with or without symptoms.

Registration is required and can be done at https://secure.dentrustocs.com/docs/tdemscreening or text the word ‘DOCSTX’ to 41411. You may also call (267)362-5207 or register onsite. Results will be sent via email or text.

UMMC Testing Sites 

For assistance regarding your results call 1-866-333-COVID (26843).

Testing is free and available for anyone 5 years or older with or without symptoms.

Test results will be available within 72 hours. Patients will receive a text message to their cell phone with a link. Follow the instruction on the link.

No appointments needed; however, once the daily capacity of 1,000 is met the site will be closed for the day to additional testing.

CVS Testing 

CVS officials report that the pharmacy will accept insurance at the drive-thru test sites; and uninsured patients will be covered under a program funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services.

Individuals must register in advance at CVS Minute Clinic.

Walgreens Testing 

Walgreens is offering no-cost COVID-19 testing.

Testing is available by appointment only and the details can be found online at https://www.walgreens.com/findcare/covid19/testing.

To receive an appointment for testing, individuals must first complete a screening survey online to determine eligibility. The test is a self-administered nasal swab test.

Individuals will be advised of location, date and time once screening is completed.

Project Vida COVID-19 Testing 

Testing is free and available for anyone with or without symptoms.

Test results for GynPath tests are available at http://www.gynpath.com.

WE Medical Labs Testing 

Testing by WE Medical Labs can be conducted by appointment only. Appointments can be made by calling (915) 218-6026 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

Testing is open to everyone, with or without symptoms. Residents are requested to bring the following with them for their appointment:

  • Insurance Information/Card (if insured)
  • Valid Driver’s License or State ID
  • Social Security (if uninsured)
  • Doctor’s order (If available; however, WE Medical Labs will still conduct a COVID-19 test without a doctor’s order.)

Results can be obtained 48 to 72 hours after specimen collection by accessing the website at portal.wemedicallabs.com.

Revive Medical 

Appointments can be scheduled online at www.revivecovidtest.com or by calling RevIVe at 915-248-4863. Same day appointments are available, First Responders and Healthcare Providers are given priority processing and results are available 12-48 hours after the sample is received in our lab.

When medically necessary, the test is covered at no cost to patients with or without insurance. Patients must provide a copy of their insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid card. If patients are uninsured, they must provide their social security number, or a copy of their driver’s license or state issued ID.
